CNN says that KFC has a new comercial aimed at viewers with VCRs and PVRs. You have to watch it in slow motion to find out how to get a special deal.

This is viral marketing at its best. Do something that gets other people to generate interest. First, CNN picks it up, and effectively increases the number of eyballs by an order of mgnitude.

Now, the Blogs (or, at least, Chris' Blog) are reporting it. Heck, I even tried to track down the commercial! (and had to upgrade Flash to a newer version).

The whole promotion is over, but the marketing lives on. Nice work, KFC. Nice marketing, Chris. ;-)
